Summer Sandlot League

We are excited to offer a FREE Sandlot League for AAA/Majors Baseball and Majors Softball.  This gives players a chance to participate in an approved, unstructured, activity that’s sole focus is the enjoyment of the player – kids just playing baseball or softball.

Parent/coaches will be there to ensure that players follow safety guidelines and maintain a positive environment.  Coaches will assist with dividing teams, to ensure a balanced skill level, but then kids make the lineup, choose positions, and play ball!  While many children thrive in a structured baseball and softball environment, there are even more life lessons that can be learned through working with your peers to solve problems, establish leadership skills, and come together to have fun.  We look forward to this opportunity for kids to get some baseball and softball in this summer!

This is open to anyone, so if you know a kid who wants to try baseball or softball in an informal environment, please spread the word!

Baseball games will take place on Thursday evenings, 6:00-7:30 at Burton Street Fields, July 15-August 6.

Softball games will take place on Tuesday evenings, 6:00-7:30 at Fenner or Vets Fields (TBD), July 13-August 4.

This league is FREE, but players MUST be registered and complete a medical release form to participate for insurance purposes.  Log in at the top of the page or at the link below to register now!

Of course, this is all contingent on a successful Phase 4 reopening in our area.

Safety Guidelines for Players and Spectators

How we plan to keep you and your player safe:
-Please use common sense and stay home if you or your player is not feeling well or is experiencing any symptoms of fever, cough, or shortness of breath.
-No handshakes or personal contact celebrations
-All players should bring their own water bottle/drinks.  No sunflower seeds, snacks, gum or spitting, etc.
-We will keep all player equipment properly spaced and disinfect all shared equipment between uses.
-Limit use of dugouts and keep players properly spaced when not engaged in play.
-Fans and spectators are asked to maintain appropriate social distancing.  Please bring your own chairs and limit use of bleachers.

Summer Learn to Play

We are excited to offer FREE outdoor skills clinics for T-ball and Minors Softball/Baseball players!!  T-ball is designed as a "learn to play" clinic for players (boys and girls) age 5 and 6 (before September 1, 2020).  Players will be divided into small groups and work through batting with a stationary tee, throwing, catching and base running.

Minors Baseball and Softball clinics are for players age 7 and 8 (before September 1, 2020) who would have played minors baseball this season, and players age 7, 8 and 9 (before December 31, 2020) who would have played minors softball this season.  Players will be divided into small groups and work through drills focusing on fundamentals of hitting and fielding, as well as lots of fun!  There will also be some scrimmage/game play.  This is an excellent opportunity for players to get more comfortable with their skills!

This is open to anyone, so if you know a kid who wants to try baseball or softball in an informal environment, please spread the word!

T-ball and Minors Baseball clinics take place Tuesday evenings, 5:30-6:30 at Burton Street Fields, July 14-August 4.

Softball clinics take place Thursday evenings, 5:30-6:30 at Fenner or Vets Fields (TBD as reopening progresses), July 16-August 6.

Parents must stay for the duration of the clinic.

These are opportunities for our kids to play some baseball this summer in a fun and informal way!

These clinics are FREE, but players MUST be registered and complete a medical release form to participate for insurance purposes.

Of course, this is all contingent on a successful Phase 4 reopening in our area.
