We are excited to offer a FREE Sandlot League for Baseball. This gives players a chance to participate in an approved, unstructured, activity that’s sole focus is the enjoyment of the player – kids just playing baseball or softball.
Parent/coaches will be there to ensure that players follow safety guidelines and maintain a positive environment. Coaches will assist with dividing teams, to ensure a balanced skill level, but then kids make the lineup, choose positions, and play ball! While many children thrive in a structured baseball and softball environment, there are even more life lessons that can be learned through working with your peers to solve problems, establish leadership skills, and come together to have fun. We look forward to this opportunity for kids to get some baseball and softball in this summer!
This is open to anyone, so if you know a kid who wants to try baseball or softball in an informal environment, please spread the word!
Majors (10-12 year olds) and Minors (7-9 year olds) will play Friday nights 5:30-7:00 at Lakeside Fields or Burton Street Fields (We will keep you updated on location each week).
Players should dress in baseball attire and bring a glove, water bottle and helmet and bat (if they have one).
This league is FREE, players do not need to register if you participated in the spring season.
